School Prayers
Prayer and liturgy is at the heart of all we do at St Anne’s. Every Monday we have a whole school celebration assembly in which our children’s achievements and God given talents are celebrated. On a Tuesday, we listen to the previous Sunday Gospel and reflect on what that means to us and what we can do going forth. Usually on Wednesday, St Anne's ambassadors or other pupil groups lead our whole school prayer and liturgy. On a Thursday and Friday, we have prayer and litrugy in class which is planned and prepared by the children. It is a time to reflect on the liturgical year or events that are happening around the world.

Emmaus Catholic Academy Prayer
God, Our Father, on the road to Emmaus, Jesus Your Son nurtured the disciples with the Word of Scripture and nourished their faith with the Breaking of Bread. On our journey of life, renew our communities, restore our hope, and inspire our enthusiasm for learning. Increase our commitment to education, with compassion in our hearts and dedication to the Gospel. As disciples and friends of Jesus, empower us with the courage to lead and the humility to serve Your people. Amen.

St Anne's Prayer
St Anne’s Prayer O good St Anne,
Mother of Mary, grandmother of Jesus
Intercede before God for our families and their children.
May one generation hand onto another, faith in God’s promise and trust that He will do great things for those who reverence his name.
Evening Prayer
God our Father, we have come to say, thank you for your love today.

Some example of prayer and liturgy at St Anne's....
Year 4: Prayer and Liturgy Focus Theme: Caring for Others
Children in year 4 planned and led prayer and liturgy with the focus theme: caring for others. We made a link with children’s mental health week reminding ourselves that God will always guide us through tough times.
Year 1: Making Rosary Beads - October 2023
As part of our RE in year 1 during the month of October, children made their own rosary beads to help to observe their rosary prayers. They used their beads in prayer and liturgy and we then took them home to pray with their families.
Year 6: Refelcting on War - September 2023
Gospel Luke 19:41-44 The year 6 children reflected upon how Jesus wants us to live in peace and remember those who are not lucky enough to experience peace in their lives. They prayed for all those who were experiencing war.
Year 2: The Eyes of our Heart - September 2023
Year 2 class worship was about how we use the eyes of our heart to see when people are in need of help. We listened to the story of when Jesus healed the blind man and reflected on how we could help others. We drew eyes on our hearts to remind us to use them and wrote what actions we could take to help others.
