Religious Education
Religious Education is central to school life and is taught as a core subject. Each class fulfils the diocesan requirement of 10% of curriculum time to be dedicated to the subject and we follow the diocesan recommended scheme of ‘The Way, the Truth, the Life’. RE isn’t simply a lesson on our class timetables, it is a thread which is woven through everything we do at St. Anne's. We encourage creativity, challenge and deep thinking around our core beliefs.

Other Faiths
Along with the Catholic Church, St Anne's firmly believe the teaching of ‘Other Faiths’ is important for our children because:
- Learning about the religion and cultures of those who do not share the Catholic faith is one of the ways in which we embody the call ‘to love one’s neighbour’.
We seek, through the learning of other faiths to try to understand better the religion of our neighbours, and to experience something of their religious life and culture.
- Many of the children in Catholic schools are practicing members of other faiths and our schools need to be places of love and respect for all our children. It is an act of respect and courtesy that our curriculum helps them to reflect on the nature of their own religious identity.
- It prepares the pupils in our Catholic schools for life in a modern Britain, giving them an understanding of the beliefs of others. This in turn will improve social cohesion and contribute to the common good by increasing mutual respect between those of different religions.

Caritas in Action
Caritas is the “home” charity of the Diocese of Salford, with over 22 social welfare projects in operation across Greater Manchester and East Lancashire. The principles of Catholic Social Teaching are at the heart of everything we do to live out the social action mission of the Church.
We are also here to help your school/college/group in its mission to put Caritas into action too by providing resources and opportunities for pupils to engage in social action projects, campaigns and fundraising activities, which will help them to live their faith and develop leaders in social justice. Living out our Mission
Living out our Mission is given a big focus at St. Anne's. Our mission statement 'We Grow Together in God's love is simple but lived out and known by all holds a special place at the very core of our school, it is simple but lived out. It is regularly explored and known by all. We also understand the need to look after our world and God’s people. Some of the ways we live out our mission include:
