The school fair, and especially the raffle, plays an important role in helping to raise much-needed funds for our school, directly benefiting our children.

What an amazing experience our Year 1 children had at the pantomime at the Opera House! From the moment the curtain went up, the children were completely captivated—and there was plenty of laughter, cheering, and shouting along (oh yes there was!).

It was a truly magical experience and one that the children will not forget in a hurry. They loved joining in with the panto jokes, singing along, and shouting out the all-important warnings to the characters on stage (he’s behind you!).

A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped make this trip possible. It was a fantastic way to bring some festive fun and excitement into the school day—and definitely a trip to remember!

What an amazing afternoon we had yesterday! This was our very first Afternoon Tea with Santa, and it was wonderful to see so many families come together to share in the festive cheer. The hall was filled with excitement, smiling faces and lots of Christmas magic as children enjoyed meeting Santa and spending precious time with loved ones.

A huge thank you to our fantastic kitchen staff, who prepared the most delicious sandwiches and cakes—they were a real treat! Your hard work helped make the event feel truly special.

We are delighted to share that the event also raised vital funds for our outdoor provision. Thank you to everyone who came along, supported us, and helped create such a warm and joyful atmosphere.

With Christmas music playing, twinkling lights, and plenty of festive spirit, it was the perfect way to begin our holiday celebrations. We’re already looking forward to making this a yearly tradition!

This week we held our annual Winter Warmer Breakfast, and it was wonderful to see so many of our families come together to share some festive cheer. With a little Christmas music in the background and plenty of sausage and bacon butties to enjoy, the morning was filled with warmth and smiles. Thank you to everyone who came along—it was truly lovely to see you all.

The assembly ended with a heartfelt ‘Kindness Pledge’, where children shared their promises to be kind—whether by helping a friend, including others in play, or offering a smile to brighten someone’s day. We are so proud of their thoughtfulness and the positive message they shared across our school community.

Our wonderful Mental Health Ambassadors led an inspiring assembly all about kindness this week. They spoke confidently about the importance of showing care and respect to others, reminding everyone that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Year 5 led a thoughtful and moving Remembrance Assembly, helping the school remember and honour those who lost their lives in past conflicts. They shared prayers and reflections for those who died in war and also sent their thoughts and prayers to people still affected by conflict around the world today.

Following the assembly, the whole school joined together for a two-minute silence, taking time to reflect, remember, and show respect. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of peace, gratitude, and remembering the sacrifices of others.

This week, our School Council proudly delivered their first assembly to mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week. During the assembly, they reminded everyone that bullying is never tolerated in our school. We have been learning about the importance of using our ‘Power for Good’ — speaking out, reporting bullying, and standing up for kindness and respect.

Through our school rules and Christian ethos, we encourage everyone to treat others as we would like to be treated, helping our school community to grow together in God’s love.

On Monday, children are invited to come to school wearing odd socks to celebrate what makes each of us unique. This simple act reminds us that we are all special in the eyes of God, and that kindness, respect, and understanding help make our school a happy and safe place for everyone

Special mention to children who raised £500+ and who have won a signed Oldham shirt which will be presented at the Oldham Vs Crewe game on the 15th November at 3pm!
