Water Safety Awareness
Sadly, there have been 6 open water related drownings of children/young people across the UK over the late May Bank Holiday Weekend 2026.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue launched it’s 2026 Water Safety Campaign on 21/05/26 and provided a social media resource kit to help warn of the dangers of open water and how to mitigate against cold water shock.
